Wood

Artist Statement:

I am a mostly self-taught woodturner. I started turning in 2002 on my father-in-law's lathe. I am a founding member of the Montgomery County Woodturners. All of the work that I create is one of a kind. Every item I make is unique because I try to bring out the best object that hides from within the tree, whether it is a utilitarian object or something more sculptural. Most of my experience has been exploring the bowl shape in relation to the log. Most of my wood has been locally saved from the wood chipper.
