Artist Statement:

Jan Solomon has been creating art for much of her life. In her jewelry making, she has worked with multiple materials, including beads, pearls, stones, wire, glass, polymer, recycled materials, enamel, and metals. She spends much of her time on metalsmithing and bead crochet. Jan has studied at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, the Art League School, Creative Metalworks, Silverworks Studio at Glen Echo Park, and at workshops with well-known artists. Jan lives in Washington, DC, and is a member of Ch/Art, The Ladysmiths Jewelry Collective, the Society of North American Goldsmiths, and the Washington Guild of Goldsmiths.
