Artist Statement:
Catherine O'Sullivan is a fiber artist based in Takoma Park, Maryland. She creates sculptural and wearable textile pieces using a blend of traditional hand-felting processes and techniques. She works primarily with wool, but also silk, cotton, and paper. Living and working in an urban forest, much of her work is inspired by nature, from the subjects of her sculptures to the colors and textures in her textiles. She is a member of the International Feltmakers Association, Potomac Fiber Arts Guild, and the Northeast Felt Makers Guild.
