Artist Statement:

What began in California as a hobby more than 40 years ago has become a career. After taking a weaving class in Sacramento, I moved to the coast. There I worked for a small company making designer clothing sold around the country. Through that job I learned a lot about making cloth that wears well. After going through different phases of creating garments, rugs, table linens, and wall hangings, I now make mainly rayon chenille and bamboo scarves. I work out of a studio behind our Capitol Hill home in Washington, DC.
