Artist Statement:

Working in glass, there is always an element of surprise when you open the kiln. Even if a piece doesn’t turn out the way I planned, I am fascinated by how the colors blend or react with each other and how the glass melts, slumps, or drops at different temperatures. My glass pieces often are inspired by nature, stories, or songs I hear on the radio or experiences from my life. Other abstract compositions are designed around one or more previously made components.
