Nella Fischer is a local silversmith, learning the craft of creating metal jewelry in classes at the Art League School of the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, through workshops from the Washington Guild of Goldsmiths (of which she is a member), and weeklong programs at the Touchstone Center for Crafts in Farmington, Pennsylvania. Over the years, she has participated in shows sponsored by local organizations, including The Pleiades, Glen Echo Park, and the Northern Virginia Handcrafters Guild. Currently her work is available at Vivian’s in Charlottesville, Virginia.
