Cyd Rowley says that what gets her up in the morning is her love of design and the way that she can realize her designs in metal. It’s the where right-brained, conceptual and intuitive energies meet the left-brain, technical, fabrication-led arena that the magic of creativity happens. She loves to channel that creativity around all things ethnic, historic, and antique. This is reflected in the way she creates a piece for the body, or the pattern and motif that she uses on the surface. It may be seen in a very subtle detail, such as a whiplash curve of an embellishment, or it may involve the way she incorporates an historic relic, shard, object into a jewelry piece.
