Winifred Chao has been making ceramics for fifteen years. Each piece is either wheel-thrown, hand-built or a combination of the both. Her work is microwave safe and dishwasher safe. Growing up in a wooden house in Taiwan and watching her mother doing ikebana in the alcove influenced her lifelong affection for simplicity. That sentiment is reflected on the unadorned quality of her artistic expression.
