Like many fused glass artists, Michaela Borghese initially studied stained glass, quickly moving on to fusing as she was drawn to the artistic possibilities of glass when heated. Since then she has explored a variety of techniques to develop texture, structure, and color in her glass art.
Besides many class at the Art Glass Center, she has studied with both nationally and internationally-known glass artists in the U.S. and abroad. Her work has been exhibited in numerous galleries in the Washington, D.C. area.
